Nikka is awarded a merit prize at the Galway Flute Festival

The Galway Flute Festival is a much anticipated international flute highlight of the year featuring the next rising stars. Nikka was selected to perform Franz Doppler’s Airs Valaques for the living legend of the flute Sir James Galway on Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021. Additionally, she also performed Saverio Mercadante’s Flute Concerto in E Minor and orchestral excerpts for distinguished guest artists Andrea Griminelli and Emily Beynon. At the culmination ceremony Nikka was awarded a special Sir James Galway Merit Scholarship prize award to attend the Galway Flute Festival in Switzerland, 2022.
